Description
Reclaiming Our History examines First Nations womenÛªs roles from the perspectives of 40 women elders mainly from northern Ontario. These women were asked questions pertaining to the past and what they remembered their grandmothers, mothers, aunts, and other women in their communities telling them. The information collected in this book serves to highlight the adaptations First Nations women have made from generation to generation and their importance in the resurgence or renewal of Aboriginal culture.
