Description
The Omushkego Language and Culture Curriculum, Early Childhood Education to Grade 3: Omushkego Language has been developed to maintain and enhance the Omushkego language and culture of the Omushkegowuk communities. This curriculum consists of expectations in language and culture and uses the Omushkego language as a subject or medium of instruction for all subjects holistically. This document contains the culture expectations for this curriculum and can be used by any of the Nishnawbe Aski Nation communities.
Omushkego Education and the Ojibway and Cree Cultural Centre collaboratively developed these materials in response to local Mushkegowuk community needs.
Both organizations thank the male and female elders of the Mushkegowuk territory for sharing their knowledge in the development this document.
