These programs are designed for children at the Primary level. All programs in this series begin and end with a Cree song which can be easily learned by the viewer. These programs in this series involve children and a story teller (Mary Lou Iahtail).

How the Year Got Twelve Months
This story takes place in a Native community. It begins inside a house where the story teller demonstrates making fried bannock with berries. The group then moves outside where they enjoy the fried bannock with tea while they listen to the legend about how the year got twelve months. When the legend is finished, the children are told the moral of the legend.
