These programs are designed for children at the Primary level. All programs in this series begin and end with a Cree song which can be easily learned by the viewer. These programs in this series involve children and a story teller (Mary Lou Iahtail).

I. CHAKAPISH AND THE MOON

This story takes place outside in a natural setting. While enjoying tea and bannock on a stick, children are introduced to Chakapish and are told about the last of his many adventures.

II. HOW THE BEAVER GOT HIS FLAT TAIL

This story takes place in a tent. The children are told about a life in the bush and the different roles people have. Following this information on traditional life, the children are told a legend about the beaver‰Ûªs flat tail.

III. HOW THE YEAR GOT TWELVE MONTHS

This story takes place in a Native community. It begins inside a house where the story teller demonstrates making fried bannock with berries. The group then moves outside where they enjoy the fried bannock with tea while they listen to the legend about how the year got twelve months. When the legend is finished, the children are told the moral of the legend.
